2011 Worldwide Photo Walk

This year marks the 4th annual Worldwide Photo Walk and the 2nd year that I will be leading the walk in Little Rock. There are over 1,100 different walks occurring around the world this weekend. As of today, there are 16 spots left out of the 50 to attend this free photography walk that will be held this Sunday (October 2nd). We will first meet in front of the President William J. Clinton Library at 4:30PM and head down President Clinton Avenue to leisurely photograph the sights and sounds along the way. We will shoot the sunset (6:57PM) from the Junction Bridge before having dinner and drinks at the Flying Fish. Last year, we had a great turnout and a wonderful shoot. Expedition 2011 – Glacier, Waterton, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Rocky Mountain & Mount Evans

Each year when it gets hot, I like to take a photography vacation to a place that’s not. This year, three other photographers and I traveled together on a 14 day/5,000 mile journey that took us to Glacier National Park, Waterton Lakes International Park (Canada), Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Rocky Mountain National Park and Mount Evans. We camped out in each of these places for most of the two-week journey. I had every intention of posting along the way, but I was having way too much fun and was too tired at the end of each day to type out a blog post. Here are some of my favorite images from the trip.

Pops on the River 2011

I had a great time last night at Pops on the River. About 30 other photographers and I, gathered around 5PM to stake out our prime location and to have a cookout to celebrate the 4th of July. After grilling and eating way too much, we enjoyed listening to the Arkansas Orchestra play as we sat on the banks of the Arkansas River. You couldn’t have asked for better weather either. A nice breeze and a few high clouds helped keep the temperature down.

2010 Little Rock Worldwide Photo Walk | Little Rock, AR

I had a great time leading the 2010 Little Rock Worldwide Photo walk today. Over 30,000 photographers from around the world went on various walks around the continents on July 24, 2010. We had 30 local photographers participate. Our beginning point was the President Clinton Library and our ending point was the Junction Bridge. I had a great time helping others set up shots and we met some really awesome people along the way. Thanks so much to everyone for coming out on this 100 degree day! I had an awesome time and I can’t wait to do it again real soon. Here are 50 shots from the walk. I received one of the first Canon 7d camera bodies to be shipped within the United States today. I will post a full report of my impressions of this new camera after I have a chance to test it this weekend.
