It’s been a while since I’ve tinkered with my website, but I spent the last day of 2011 overhauling it to give the site a new feel. I’ve added many new pages and features to help show people who I am and what I do. I’ve separated my portfolio into two sections…Love and Life. Love contains some of my favorite engagement, bridal, and wedding images I’ve photographed over the course of the past few years. Life contains personal work that I do for me. For years, I photographed wildlife professionally, but I had no sign of that on the old site, so I thought I’d bring back a few of my favorite images from years past. I’ve also added an iPhonography page to showcase all of my latest iPhone shots. Another new page that will be updated daily is called Project 366. I plan to post one image per day here for all 366 days of 2012, so check back often for daily updates. There are many other new features, so please check www.jasoncrader.com out, and let me know what you think.

2011 Worldwide Photo Walk

This year marks the 4th annual Worldwide Photo Walk and the 2nd year that I will be leading the walk in Little Rock. There are over 1,100 different walks occurring around the world this weekend. As of today, there are 16 spots left out of the 50 to attend this free photography walk that will be held this Sunday (October 2nd). We will first meet in front of the President William J. Clinton Library at 4:30PM and head down President Clinton Avenue to leisurely photograph the sights and sounds along the way. We will shoot the sunset (6:57PM) from the Junction Bridge before having dinner and drinks at the Flying Fish. Last year, we had a great turnout and a wonderful shoot. Expedition 2011 – Glacier, Waterton, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Rocky Mountain & Mount Evans

Each year when it gets hot, I like to take a photography vacation to a place that’s not. This year, three other photographers and I traveled together on a 14 day/5,000 mile journey that took us to Glacier National Park, Waterton Lakes International Park (Canada), Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Rocky Mountain National Park and Mount Evans. We camped out in each of these places for most of the two-week journey. I had every intention of posting along the way, but I was having way too much fun and was too tired at the end of each day to type out a blog post. Here are some of my favorite images from the trip.

I had a great time speaking at the Mid America Photography Symposium (MAPsym) in Eureka Springs yesterday. My presentation was about my change from being a commercial/outdoor photographer to becoming a wedding photographer. I told the crowd of photographers my story and gave them as much advice as possible in my 90 minute presentation on how to make it as a wedding photographer. I’ve received many emails throughout the day today from different individuals who attended. Thank you guys so much for all of the wonderful comments. I wish all of you well in your pursuits in the wonderful world of wedding photography.
