2011 Favorite Wedding Images

2011…What a great year! I photographed 23 weddings this year and enjoyed each and every one of them. For those who hired me…THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!…without your support I would not be able to do what I LOVE to do! Each one of your weddings was so special and I treasure the friendships I formed with many of you throughout the course of this year. When you’ve shoot well over 150,000 images, it’s very hard to pick favorites. I’ve narrowed it down to 138 that I really like. This is going to be a long post full of many photos, but I hope you enjoy looking back at some of my favorites of 2011! Here they are in chronological order according to the wedding date. Last Saturday, I had so much fun photographing Lauren & Taylor’s wedding at Calvary Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR. About a month ago, I photographed Lauren’s bridals at Petit Jean State Park, and I knew then, when I saw her, that she would light up the church, and she did! Following the beautiful ceremony, the couple had their reception at the Pleasant Valley Country Club. Lauren’s mother did a superb job helping decorate the venue with many unique wedding pieces, and I really enjoyed the 11-member live band, The Rockets, that entertained guests during the night. Here are some of my favorite images.

I had such a great time photographing Sarah & Brandon’s wedding at First Baptist Church in Benton, AR two days ago. I met Sarah in January, at the Arkansas Democrat Gazette Bridal Fair. She won the free engagement session that I gave away after the bridal fair. During the engagement session, of course I met Brandon, and let me tell you these two are a spectacular couple. They decided to book me to photograph their wedding and to shoot Sarah’s bridals. Both Sarah and Brandon’s families are SUPER people. I’ve enjoyed getting to know them over the course of this year. Last Saturday, I photographed the wonderful wedding of Lauren & Brian. This small wedding at The Capital Hotel, was a very intimate gathering of close friends and family. The hearts were heavy of all involved due to the passing of Brian’s mother a little over a week ago. She had been ill for months and the couple had done everything possible to bring the wedding to her (they live in New York City), but sadly she was not physically present. She was definitely there in spirit and both families stood strong during this trying time. The plentiful smiles and a child’s nature sure helped. There were a total of seven children who participated in the wedding and these kids really helped ease the pain. I’m very thankful for having the opportunity to be involved with this wedding. Everyone was so gracious and kind. Here are some of my favorite images from the wedding day.

Last Saturday, I had the best time at Eimear & Drew’s wedding. I first met up with Eimear and her family at her parents’ home before heading to St. Edwards Catholic Church for the ceremony. This was the first chance I’ve had to photograph a wedding inside St. Edwards. I’ve heard from friends that it was beautiful but their descriptions did not do the church justice. After the ceremony ended, we headed over to the Embassy Suites for the reception. It was a wonderful day with individuals from all over the world attending Eimear & Drew’s wedding. I really enjoyed learning some of their Irish customs, and meeting Eimear’s wonderful family from Ireland. I wonderful time was had by all and here are some of my favorite images from the wedding day!

Last Saturday, I had such a great time at Lauren & Daniel’s wedding. They are such a great couple and have a wonderful group of family and friends! I met both of them earlier this year when I photographed their engagement session in Fayetteville. I found out then what a wonderful couple they truly are. Last month, I photographed Lauren’s bridal photos and I had a great time with her and her family then. On Saturday, Lauren & Daniel were wed at Lakewood United Methodist Church in North Little Rock, and their reception was held at the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock. I really appreciate all of the help her family provided throughout this process, and their amazing wedding coordinator Jerry Lu Wagnon. Congratulations to all! Yesterday, I had a great time photographing Amber & Scott’s wedding at the First Church of the Nazarene in Hot Springs, AR. They have a great group of friends and family that made working for them fun and enjoyable. After the ceremony and reception at the church, we drove up Hot Springs Mountain Dr. in Hot Springs National Park, and stopped to take photos of them and their wedding party along this scenic loop. Last night, I had the pleasure of photographing Casey & Jesse’s wedding at the Kauffman’s Barn in Arkadelphia, AR. Earlier this year, I photographed part of their engagement session at this site, and I knew then it would be a beautiful venue for a wedding. Yesterday, I had the wonderful pleasure of photographing Vanessa & Cody’s wedding at Alda’s Magnolia Hill in Little Rock, AR. This was the first time that I photographed a wedding at this venue and let me say it’s a beautiful gem hidden in the city of Little Rock.
